Ryan Reed – Co-Owner & Head Instructor
Ryan Reed is the co-owner of Gracie Humaita Huntsville and a seasoned martial artist with a career spanning nearly two decades. He holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Andy Yount and has a diverse background in multiple martial arts disciplines dating back to 2006.
Ryan began his journey in MMA while serving in the United States Marine Corps, where he was a member of the Marine Corps Fight Team. During his service, he also served as a black belt instructor for the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP), developing both combat skills and leadership in Marines.
As a coach, Ryan has trained numerous amateur and professional MMA fighters, guiding several to championship titles. His approach blends elite-level technical instruction with proven strength, conditioning, and nutrition strategies.

In addition to his martial arts expertise, Ryan is certified as a personal trainer, MMA conditioning coach, and sports nutrition specialist. He also holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and serves as a firefighter for the City of Conroe, TX.
