I started at Gracie Humaita Huntsville in early 2021 with my two daughters, ages 6 and 8, following shortly after. This would quickly become one of the best decisions I’ve made. As with starting anything new, there is a level of uncertainty and hesitation, however – the anxieties quickly fade when you realize everyone in the gym is after the same goal; To be better than you were yesterday. To be better both physically and mentally. To be better for both yourself as well as your family. The challenges you face on the mat often overlap the challenges you encounter in everyday life. The growth that I have seen for myself but more so with my two young girls is priceless and is something I am grateful to be a part of. If you stick around long enough, you will quickly find yourself surrounded by some of the best people imaginable. The best piece of advice I could give anyone – any age – is to give it a solid try. You owe it to yourself to find out just how great you can be.

If you want to be a part of something truly amazing, Gracie Humatai Huntsville is it. I have been a part of the team for nearly 6 years, training, learning and competing, with both Ryan Reed and Phil Riggs. GHH is like one big family, kids to adults, all training a mix of jiu jitsu, kickboxing, grappling and more. If you’re just interested in jiu jitsu or martial arts or self defense, or if you’re ready to take your training to the next level, I highly recommend heading on up to Gracie Humatai Huntsville. You’ll be glad you did!
